Fugro (USA) Land, Inc. is in search of a highly motivated, determined, and experienced business development staff to help lead the effort in North America to market Fugro’s Fli-MAP aerial lidar services.

The helicopter based Fli-MAP system has been in use since 1995 and remains one of the premier remote sensing solutions in the world. With the combination of accurate point cloud data, HD video and HD still imagery, our clients have the ability to get the solution for their projects much faster than conventional ways. The collected data is used for many different engineering projects in several industries, including power delivery, railroad, highway, pipeline, and levees.

Job Requirements

As a Technical and Business Development Manager for Power, your role will be to:

Develop business within the power transmission/distribution markets and related industries;
Identify new business opportunities and deliver significant new work consistent with the company's strategic objectives through both individual and team efforts;
Assist in the development and execution of strategy and tactics to secure revenue;
Lead the proposal planning, development, and project estimates;
Assist in project and account management of new and existing clients;
Account planning for region; selection of accounts, and account plan development, execution and review;
Bid/no-bids, tender risk assessment, and project set-up definitions for projects;
Review and respond to tender proposals and project resource;
Represent Fugro with clients and prospective clients by attending, conducting, and managing client facing activities: visits, tradeshows, seminars, presentations, meetings;
Assist in the review and assess the potential to develop strategic partnerships with sector specialists;
Maintain an awareness of external factors which impact the business including competitors, technology developments, government business initiatives as well as current and proposed legislation;
Provide input in the marketing and branding of the solutions

This challenging position will require a diverse set of skills:

Proven track record in the power industry;
Knowledge of industry operations, including maintenance and inspection activities;
Degree or equivalent experience in engineering or remote sensing;
History of building positive relationships internally and externally;
Strong negotiation skills;
Proven business acument based on a broad understanding of all aspects of business e.g. finance, marketing, and sales;
Excellent communication skills, the ability to multi-tasks and demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to keep a diverse group of people on task;
A strategic planner with sound technology skills, anlysitcal ability, good judgement, and operational focus;
Exemplary ability to understand the interests of the parties working with executives, as well as their intentions, are critical aspects to ensure identification of creative alternative means of handling pressing issues;
Advanced use of Microsoft office applications including Word, Excel, Power Point; and organization's database and client management systems;
Ability to travel domestically, often on short notice
Ability to work in US without sponsorship
