Work functions: Lifecycle maintenance and technical/customer support of existing legacy software applications including GIS on customer site in Harrisburg, PA.

Job Requirements
|
|
|
Education, training, experience:
|
|
|
1. Minimum of 5 years of software engineering lifecycle maintenance experience for desktop and web based custom solutions.
2. Minimum of 7 years experience serving as a software team leader and project manager.
3. Minimum 4 year college degree or advanced degree (MS, MA, MBA)
4. Project management certification a plus
5. Demonstrated team building and team leading skills
6. Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential
7. Effective project management skills: define project scope, define budget requirements, schedule tasks based on team availability, and monitor and report on project performance.
8. Enterprise Project Management methodology experience simultaneously supporting multiple custom applications
9. Use of Project Management software (Clarity, Workbench)
10. Lead in the development of business requirements, maintenance work plans, software release plans, system security planning and execution, and software support agreements
11. Transportation related experience a plus
12. Desktop and web based software development experience
13. Custom lifecycle software engineering experience with the following:
• GIS Software: Intergraph MGE, Geomedia, Geomedia WebMap
• Database environment: Oracle 10g with Spatial Data Objects(SDO) MS SQL (2000/2005)
• Design Tools: Entity Relationship Modeling (ERM Methodology), IBM Rational toolset (ClearCase, ClearQuest, RSA, etc.), Dreamweaver
• Development tools: Active Server Pages (ASP), ASP.NET, VB.NET, Visual Basic 6, COBOL, PL/SQL, JCL, XML, HTML, VB Script, Crystal Reports, Map Text, Adobe Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG)
• Web Server Environment: Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS)
• Testing Tools: Automated Testing Tools (Rational / Mercury)
• Support tools: MS Visual Studio, Microsoft Visual SourceSafe, TOAD, Dreamweaver
