Company has an immediate opening for an intermediate-level Electrical Engineer to work with our synthetic aperture radar (SAR) development team in a signal processing and data analysis role. The candidate will work closely with our team to evaluate and improve the performance of SAR through advanced analysis of radar data, and to develop new applications and capabilities for the SAR sensor. The selected candidate will be part of a small, highly-specialized team based in Palo Alto, CA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Development and implementation of SAR image formation algorithms and data exploitation algorithms. SAR data and image analysis; SNR, SCR, resolution, and sidelobe measurements and calculations. System performance analysis. Implementation on high-performance hardware such as GPUs.
Education and Experience Requirements
MS degree in EE, Physics, or similar, directly applicable area Minimum 5 years experience in data processing and signal analysis. Software development experience with C++, Java, and MATLAB. Detailed understanding of Signal Processing, Image Processing, and Statistics. Well developed verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements Desirable:
PhD in EE, Physics, or similar, directly applicable area. Detailed understanding of SAR and image formation techniques. Knowledge of advanced SAR techniques, such as polarimetric change detection, tomography, and autofocus. Experience with GPU and CUDA development. Experience with UHF, L, and X-band radar. Hands-on experience with radar hardware and radar systems
