The GIS Analyst will work to support the Team in St. Petersburg, FL on multiple Federal projects performing data management and other GIS tasks. This position will primarily work within the ArcGIS environment developing finalized data deliverables based on client requirements. The analyst produces consistent finished products, works to develop process efficiencies and improve methodologies. The preferred candidate must be self-motivated with exceptional planning, critical thinking, analytical and communication skills.


- Data Management
- Report Creation including data reports and final deliverables
- Takes ownership of work within the team for execution and QA/QC
- GIS Data Quality Control and Assurance to various governmental data standards (FGDC, SDSFIE, etc)
- Explain system requirements of RDBMS and workflow impacts on the geodatabase
- Install and configure the enterprise geodatabase
- Manage data, permissions and perform maintenance within the geodatabase
- Experience supporting complex Esri-based GIS projects within a large enterprise context
- Ability to automate workflows and tasks while taking initiative to improve processes and efficiencies

Minimum Qualifications:

- 6+ months of Analyst or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in a professional work environment
- Bachelor's degree in natural science, geospatial field (e.g., GIS, remote sensing, cartography, photogrammetry, etc.) or related field, or equivalent experience
- Ability to read maps, understand coordinate systems, perform basic image enhancements and make conversions between formats
- Confident knowledge of ESRI or vector-based software
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Google Drive
- U.S. Citizenship required to comply with federal contracts
- Ability to obtain DoD security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in a science or engineering program
- Professional Certification or Master’s degree
- Knowledge of Python, CADD, and Visual Basic
- 3+ years’ experience in a technical, professional work environment
- Experience working with a broad array of geospatial datasets, including numerous forms of vector (point, line, polygon) and raster data, both terrestrial and marine/aquatic.
- Experience with ArcGIS Online
