The Photogrammetric Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and deploying geospatial software in C++ for existing and future commercial software products. Specific projects which the candidate will work on could include; maintenance of an existing code base which performs geospatial processing, upgrading software which performs photogrammetric precise positioning, maintenance, and enhancement of photogrammetric sensor model software, developing interfaces to government and other third-party software applications.

Key Responsibilities: 

Implementation and test of complex mathematical algorithms in C++ related to geospatial processing 
Fix discrepancies found in existing geospatial software related to geospatial processing 
Assist Test/QA team in testing of software and writing of test plans
Implementing full Sensor Models
Implementing Image/Data file readers
Implementing NITF format readers
Implementing algorithms to work with Bundle Block Adjustment/Triangulation
Implementing algorithms to work with FMV
Implementing algorithms to work with WAMI
Implementing algorithms to against standards (e.g. OGC/STANAG)

Job Requirements

BS degree in Photogrammetry, or Physics, Mathematics and 10+ years of industry experience or MS degree in Photogrammetry, or Physics, Mathematics and 5 + years of industry experience 


Understanding of object-oriented software design and software development with C++. Knowledge of the fundamentals of Photogrammetry as evidenced by education or practical experience in developing software for commercial products which implement basic and advanced photogrammetric capabilities. 
Current TS/SCI security clearance
Knowledge of geodetic coordinate transforms 
Knowledge of Image Sensor models 
Knowledge FMV (Full Motion Video) 
Knowledge WAMI (Wide Area Motion Imagery) 
High Mathematical capability 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Formal educational background in Photogrammetry, Image Sciences and or Geospatial sciences 
Experience in developing software in a team environment 
Knowledge of theory of error propagation as used in photogrammetry 
Knowledge of theory of Sensor models as used in photogrammetry 
Knowledge of NITF and other standard imagery formats
Knowledge of OGC standards
