Our client is a leading distributor of GPS mapping and survey technologies from industry-leader Trimble Navigation, Ltd and offers professional sales of these systems in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. We are actively recruiting candidates with an understanding of the GPS/GNSS marketplace to join this team as a Survey Sales / Support Representative. This position will be based in Albany, NY.

• Prepare system configuration and price quotations for GPS hardware/software solutions, and supporting technologies, targeting GIS applications
• Perform hands-on product demonstrations and consult with prospective sales customers to identify needs and solution alternatives
• Assist with the development of customized solutions
• Provide system installation and training services
• Serve as liaison with Vendor sales representatives to coordinate and promote vendor sales programs
• Attend conferences, trade shows, and symposia to promote solutions, represent the firm, and identify prospects and nurture existing relationships
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver superior customer service
• Support senior technical sales consultant

Job Requirements

Spacer Image
• Minimum of 3 years of successful field sales experience
• Experience determining customer requirements and creating functional specifications
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
• Pro-active problem solving skills
• Comfortable working in a technology-based environment

Prior experience selling Trimble GPS Equipment and support services
Technical support experience within GPS systems
BA/BS in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field preferred
