Job Description


The Business Development associate will have successfully demonstrated business development capabilities representing geospatial services within a particular region, vertical market or federal space. A background in the geospatial profession including LiDAR, aerial imagery, photogrammetry, or GIS services is also required. A successful candidate will have a four-year degree in a related field and at least five years business development experience within the profession.

Responsibilities
• Develop new business opportunities and sales, focused on supporting existing federal contracts
• Establish a network within the State and Local government sector focused on decision-makers in order to develop business focused on geospatial products and services within that network
• Support business development activities including, but not limited to, representing the company in client meetings and conferences, and by fostering the development of long-term relationships with new and sustained clients, as well as partner companies.
• Provide detailed trip reports and tracking of leads, opportunities and closed sales
• Communicate business development activities in conjunction with the Director of Sales & Marketing
• Work as part of the business development team to assist in the success of our company as a whole

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or geospatial related degree
• 5 plus years of geospatial sales and marketing experience
• Demonstrated experience in coordinating with multiple federal, state and local partners to develop large-scale regional projects focused on multi-faceted geospatial data products and services
• Prior experience as a key growth influencer/driver in high-growth professional geospatial solutions
• A strategic thinker with a keen ability to make recommendations to move the business forward
• Outstanding communication skills, presence, and energy
• Must be comfortable with geospatial software applications with the ability to present high-level product solutions
• Compelling presentation skills
