Geospatial Mid Level Specialist
Developing consolidated enterprise information architecture for shared information across the organization meeting defined business needs in conjunction with the Chief of Enterprise Data Services and the Chief of Information Technology.
Developing and refining the methodology for maintenance and management of the information architecture using appropriate tools.
Identifying implementation risks and analyzing potential impact to enterprise information architecture.
Developing and maintaining information architecture critical path schedules and facilitates corrective action to correct deviations from schedules.
Developing methodology for maintaining and managing the use of the information systems architecture in accordance with organizational strategic plans and objectives.
Leading development projects and programs to insure compliance with shared information strategies.
Performing all responsibilities within the guidelines of enterprise policies and directives at or above the enterprise’s performance and evaluation standards.
Serving as a subject matter expert in the areas of Geospatial Information Systems, systems integration, database architecture, interface design, data collection, and overall best practice methodology in cross-application data interchange.
Contributing to the vision, planning, and logistics associated with present and future enterprise application and data management needs and initiatives while ensuring that they are aligned with the HRSD Strategic Plan.
Developing long range data management and availability architecture and strategy as it is applied to all phases of the enterprise’s operations and interactions with its customers.
Coordinating and monitoring hardware and software integration initiatives to ensure inter and intra-organizational application availability of GIS, MMP, Hydraulic Modeling applications, and other compliance-related platforms.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Geospatial Information Systems, Geography or related discipline or a combination of education, experience, and/or certification(s) that provide the necessary technical competencies to perform in this position.
Five years experience managing and executing IT projects involving enterprise application integration, development, configuration, and integration in a small-to mid-size, multi-site organization with small and mid-tier production platforms operating within a Wide Area Networked environment.
