Job Description


GeoSearch, Inc. is looking for a talented and motivated Geospatial Developer! As a Geospatial Web Developer, you will be supporting the development activities for an Intelligence customer. The successful candidate for the Geospatial Web Developer position requires an in-depth knowledge of industry-leading Geospatial tools and JavaScript, Python and Angular. The candidate will build geospatial and statistical analysis tools that identify spatial and temporal patterns in event data, threat analysis, and the creation of fused products to support intelligence in a spatial context.

The candidate must be self-starting, able to work well within a team environment and motivated to deliver innovative capabilities that directly impact national security. Geospatial Web Developer Responsibilities:
Support and further the development of existing web viewer application in the Esri JavaScript API
Maximize the performance of geospatial web-based tools and expedite web publishing of data and products
Ingest geospatial data including imagery, maps, charts, GIS feature data and integrated GIS data to the customer's web applications
Customized code, scripts, modules, macro procedures, libraries and dynamically linked libraries for geospatial analysis functions using Python, ArcObjects, Oracle, Java, JavaScript, MATLAB, C, C++, PERL, GDAL, GRASS, SciPy, R and other languages
Test and troubleshoot solutions in a development environment for eventual deployment
Migrate geospatial applications to a Cloud computer environment as directed

Geospatial Web Developer Basic Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship
TS/SCI with Polygraph required
Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS or computer science related field
Experience developing and deploying geospatial web applications, including geoprocessing, vector, map, and imagery services
Experience developing Javascript- and Flex-based geospatial applications
Experience using Esri ArcGIS Server
Familiarity with open source geospatial tools
Git version control system and branching workflows
Geospatial Web Developer Desired Skills

Angular CLI, Npm, Apache Maven, or Gradle preferred
OpenLayers, ArcGIS API for JavaScript, Leaflet, or Cesium preferred
Angular, Backbone.js, or Dojo Toolkit preferred
